About the Course
The Level 2 Award in the Principles of Fire Safety is designed for anyone responsible for fire safety in the workplace or those preparing to take on such responsibilities. This qualification is ideal for employees, team leaders, supervisors, and facilities staff across all sectors where there is potential risk of fire.
Through this course, learners will develop a strong understanding of:
The causes and common hazards of fire
How to carry out a basic fire risk assessment
Practical measures to reduce the likelihood of fire
Key principles of fire safety legislation and procedures
How fire risks can be identified and controlled effectively
Assessment is conducted via a multiple-choice examination, and the course is regulated by Ofqual, CCEA, and Qualifications Wales.
As a Care2Succeed-approved centre, we provide regulated training that supports compliance, confidence, and practical safety awareness. On completion, learners may choose to progress to additional qualifications such as the Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace.
