About the Course

Certificate 10 of the Care Certificate discusses the principles of safeguarding adults and the importance of understanding these as a caregiver.


Within this certificate, you will learn about the harm and abuse of adults at risk and how to reduce the likelihood of abuse, as well as how to respond to suspected or disclosed abuse. The standard also explores local and national legislation regarding safeguarding adults.


By the end of the course, you will be able to list the different types of abuse.


The learning outcomes for this course are as follows:


  • To understand the principles of safeguarding adults

  • To reduce the likelihood of abuse

  • To know how to respond to suspected or disclosed abuse

  • To be able to protect people from harm and abuse – locally and nationally


This course is CPD accredited and adheres to the training, support and development standards outlined in the CQC – specifically CQC Regulation 18.
