About the Course
The Level 1 Award in an Introduction to Mental Health and Wellbeing is a knowledge-based qualification that provides a gentle but vital introduction to mental health awareness. Designed for anyone preparing for employment or already in work, this course encourages personal development while building a foundational understanding of mental health challenges and wellbeing strategies.
Learners will explore:
What mental health and mental ill-health mean
How to take care of their own mental wellbeing
How to offer moral support to others experiencing difficulties
How lifestyle choices impact mental health
Where to find reliable sources of help and support
How to navigate difficult situations with empathy and resilience
This course is assessed through a multiple-choice examination and is regulated by Ofqual, CCEA, and Qualifications Wales.
