About the Course
The Level 1 Award in Introduction to Mental Health and Wellbeing is a knowledge-based course designed to develop awareness and understanding of mental health, both personally and in the workplace. Whether you're preparing for employment, already working in a support-based role, or simply interested in mental wellbeing, this course offers a practical foundation for further development.
Delivered by a Care2Succeed-approved centre, the course covers key areas including:
What is mental health and mental ill-health
How to care for your own mental wellbeing
Offering moral support to others
Coping with difficult situations
Understanding the impact of lifestyle choices
Knowing where and how to access professional support
This course is ideal for learners of all backgrounds, including those entering care, education, retail, or other people-focused environments. It’s also well suited to learners looking for personal growth or a pathway into more specialised mental health qualifications.
Upon successful completion, learners may progress to more advanced programmes such as the Level 2 Award in Mental Health, as well as apprenticeships or further health and wellbeing training.
