MEET THE TEAM

Education Manager (DR)

I have an Honours Degree in Education and thirty years of experience from teaching nursery children right through to adults. I have the TESOL Certificate and I have worked with young people and adults from all over the world. I have a passion for doing my bit to improve the outcomes and life chances for vulnerable and disadvantaged young people.
We work very much from a holistic perspective and understand that a team approach with staff and managers in services is the best way to achieve the results for our students.

Teacher (PH)

I have been a teacher for approximately ten years, in which time I’ve taught in prisons; taught the unemployed, disengaged young people and vulnerable adults. I pride myself on being a compassionate person and am keen to tailor learning so that it’s relevant to the individual. I thrive on helping people to be successful and raise their aspirations, increasing their chances of future happiness and prosperity.
I hold a Post-graduate Diploma in Humanities and also am a qualified teacher. I am able to teach functional English, Maths and a range of other subjects.

Teacher (AS)

I have 15 years of experience, working across secondary schools and within community learning and adult education. I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of individuals with varying needs and characteristics and I pride myself on my non-judgmental, compassionate, friendly approach and my ability to build relationships that have helped each individual achieve their personal goals.
I believe that a happy, safe, exciting and engaging environment is an effective one, and that it is the community around an individual that can make a difference to their journey. Learning comes in all different shapes and sizes, and as a teacher it’s my job to bring enthusiasm, energy, care and sometimes even laughter to create sessions, where no two are ever the same!

Assistant Psychologist

I have 6 years experience supporting children, young people and adults across residential homes and educational settings. I have supported individuals from many different backgrounds, including, mental health, learning disabilities/difficulties and challenging behaviours. I am non-judgemental and have empathy towards others, I strive to form a positive and trustworthy relationship. I offer a safe, warming and inviting environment so the individual feels at ease when engaging in therapeutic sessions. Mental health is complex and looks very different for each individual and as an assistant psychologist it is my role to support individuals manage their difficult feelings by finding new coping mechanisms. Positive and healthy minds are what are important to achieve goals.

Lead Trainer (JT)

I have worked for the company since 2010, working across all the different services. I enjoy spending time with my family, exercising and going out for meals.
An interesting fact is that I recently trained a lady in Emergency Paediatric First Aid and she used those skills to perform C.P.R and save a baby’s life!

Trainer (new)

I am a people person which allows me to find a common ground with all my participants. I find ways to support each person that suits their needs, some require extra support, some may only need a regular check in. I have been able to strengthen the relationships between employers and participants, and always aim to build all relationships further.
I love to see my participants achieve their goals, especially when they’ve been written off as ‘non achievers’ in the past, seeing them receive their certificates brings me joy! When outside of work, I love to see my family.

Business Administrator
I came to Progressive Care with 11 years of Administrative experience, of which 9 years have been in the Care Industry and 2 years in a Primary School office.
I enjoy a challenge and meeting new people, I look forward to welcoming every new member of staff and seeing them develop and grow with us.
Some interesting facts about me are that I was once a postwoman and artistic creativity runs in my family - I love taking photos of landscapes & seascapes and drawing and painting.
I also enjoy the outdoors and walking in the countryside and have a love of all animals, currently taking care of three cats and one dog.

Training Centre Manager

Having 28 years’ experience with the recruitment and training industries; my focus has always been person centred.

Involving individuals within their own learner journey; during employment or for personal development is vital.
I strongly believe that individuals should be able to access provisions with ease when and wherever their life journey takes them.
I am passionate about progressive learning for all; no matter what the barriers may there are always solutions, it’s just a case of supporting the individuals to find them.
